Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary

Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Responsible for repairs and maintenance on large construction equipment.

Pay: $30-35 an hour based on experience.

• Day:
  Monday-Friday (Saturdays as needed), 6am-6pm
• Night:
  Monday-Friday, 6pm-6am

Minimal travel is associated with this role.

• Diagnose and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic components.
• Utilize a laptop for information and diagnostic purposes for safe assembly and disassembly of components.
• Write and complete service reports.
• Participate in company training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Two-year technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, or similar preferred.
• 5+ years' experience preferred.

• Use hand tools, air tools, test equipment, powered shop tools, and overhead crane.
• Operate a variety of types of equipment.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines.
• Maintain, diagnose, and repair equipment electrical systems.
• Hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Use hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Crane knowledge a plus.
• Ability to properly document work completed.
• Desire to take on new challenges.
