Electrician Position

Aerotek is hiring for Electricians

This role leads a large-scale lighting upgrade project, overseeing the removal of 700–800 outdated fixtures and the installation of 500–600 new LED fixtures. You will coordinate and perform electrical work on-site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality completion of all lighting installations.

• Lead the execution of a large lighting project, including the removal of 700–800 existing fixtures and the installation of 500–600 new LED fixtures.
• Plan and organize daily work activities to ensure the project progresses on schedule and in line with safety and quality standards.
• Perform electrical work related to lighting systems, including wiring, terminations, and fixture connections.
• Install, mount, and secure LED lighting fixtures in accordance with electrical codes and project specifications.
• Pull wire and cable for new lighting circuits, ensuring proper routing, labeling, and organization.
• Inspect and test lighting circuits and fixtures to verify proper operation and identify any issues that require correction.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and wiring problems related to lighting installations.
• Coordinate with other trades or team members on-site to maintain a smooth workflow and safe work area.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all relevant safety procedures and guidelines.
• Document work completed as required, including fixture counts, locations, and any deviations from the original plan.

• Proven experience working on lighting projects, including removal and installation of lighting fixtures.
• Hands-on experience with electrical wiring, including terminations, connections, and circuit layout.
• Demonstrated ability to install and configure lighting systems, particularly LED fixtures.
• Experience pulling wire and cable in a construction or retrofit environment.
• Strong understanding of basic electrical principles and safe work practices.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, project directions, and on-site guidance for lighting installations.
• Capability to work safely with tools, ladders, and equipment commonly used in electrical and lighting work.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate, neat, and code-compliant installations.

• Previous experience leading or coordinating electrical or lighting crews on construction or retrofit projects.
• Experience in construction environments where lighting and electrical systems are installed or upgraded.
• Familiarity with LED lighting technology and its installation requirements.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members and on-site stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving lighting or wiring issues.

This is a contract position based out of Concord, NC.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
