Job Overview Job Summary
The Equipment Operator at Primoris Services Corporation will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various heavy equipment to support construction and utility projects in the Greensboro, North Carolina area. This role requires adherence to all safety protocols and project specifications.
Job Responsibilities- Operate a variety of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and trenchers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections of equipment and complete daily maintenance checks.
- Dig trenches, excavate foundations, grade land, and move materials according to project plans and supervisor instructions.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant regulations (OSHA, etc.).
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other personnel on site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Assist with manual labor tasks when equipment operation is not required.
- Follow precise grade and staking instructions.
- Ensure proper use and care of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL A or B is a plus.
- Proven ability to operate multiple types of heavy equipment safely and proficiently.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and grade stakes.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with construction work.
