The State of North Carolina’s Department of Transportation seeks a Vehicle/Equipment Repair Technician I (VERT I) in Division 13. This semi-skilled mechanic will service, inspect, repair and diagnose gasoline, diesel and alternative powered engines/equipment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, and may require EPA certification. Possession of a valid NC driver’s license or ability to obtain within 360 days; willingness to work extended hours in adverse weather.
