Job Description Overview

As part of the Mars Petcare family, Mars Veterinary Health is a global network of veterinary practices. This role supports the Mars Veterinary Health hospital locations within the Greensboro, NC area. Applicants must live within 20 miles of this area to be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, manage, perform, measure, schedule, and track facility repair and preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with practice standards.
  • Perform tasks such as painting, cove base installation, cabinetry, laminate repairs, drywall, ceiling repairs, basic plumbing, electrical repairs, lighting, flooring, and ceramic tile floor care.
  • Manage assigned in-house maintenance and repair work orders, scheduling the work, communicating timelines to hospitals and coordinators/construction managers, and completing the work.
  • Source, select, hire, and manage painting contractors to complete all paints within the region in accordance with practice standards.
  • Perform medical equipment preventive maintenance on various equipment.
  • Inspect, document, and report facility damages, repairs, structural conditions, and construction plan variances.
  • Provide clear communication of repairs, projects, and service work updates to managers and field leaders.
  • Purchase and inventory maintenance materials.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements within MVH guidelines and budget.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Facilities Management or a similar field is preferred.
  • Three years of experience in Construction or Maintenance.
  • Working knowledge and experience of construction terms, blueprints, troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, casework, and general building constructions.
  • Experience with building construction power tools, electrical, plumbing, drywall repair, paint, cabinetry, laminate, vinyl composition tile, and ceramic flooring installation and repair.
Compensation

$33.46 – $52.28 per hour, determined based on education, experience, and other credentials.
