Electrical Installer
Mr. Electric of Charlotte Metro

Full-Time | $22–$26 per hour | Charlotte Metro, NC

Are you an experienced electrical professional who takes pride in doing quality work?

Do you enjoy working with your hands, completing projects, and being able to look back at the end of the day and know the job was done right?

Are you looking for an opportunity where you can continue developing your electrical and customer-service skills and potentially grow into a Service Professional role?

If so, we want to meet you.

Mr. Electric of Charlotte Metro is looking for an Electrical Installer to join our growing team.

This position is different from a traditional service electrician role. Our Service Professionals meet with customers, diagnose their electrical needs, develop solutions, and sell the work. As an Electrical Installer, your primary responsibility is to take that sold work and execute it safely, efficiently, and to our standards.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of residential electrical projects while continuing to develop the skills and experience needed to potentially advance into a Service Professional position.

What You’ll Do

As an Electrical Installer, you’ll be responsible for completing residential electrical projects that have already been sold and scoped by our Service Professionals.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Completing residential electrical installations, upgrades, and repairs
  • Installing and replacing electrical panels, circuits, outlets, switches, lighting, fans, EV chargers, surge protection, and other residential electrical systems
  • Reviewing the scope of work before beginning a project and making sure you understand what needs to be completed
  • Preparing materials and equipment needed for scheduled installations
  • Completing work safely, correctly, and in accordance with applicable electrical codes and company standards
  • Communicating with the Service Professional or team when questions, changes, or unexpected conditions arise
  • Keeping customers informed and providing a professional experience while working in their homes
  • Protecting the customer’s property and maintaining a clean and organized jobsite
  • Taking required job photos and properly documenting completed work
  • Updating job notes with what was completed, what remains, and any important information the team needs to know
  • Helping identify materials needed for upcoming or incomplete work
  • Following company processes for permits, inspections, materials, and job completion
  • Properly dispatching, arriving, and completing assigned jobs through our field software
  • Taking ownership of assigned projects from start through completion
What Success Looks Like
Quality Work

We want the job done correctly the first time. You take pride in your workmanship, pay attention to the details, and don’t cut corners.

Efficiency

Quality matters, but so does productivity. You understand how to organize your day, prepare for the job, and keep projects moving without sacrificing workmanship.

Ownership

When a job is assigned to you, you take responsibility for it. If something is incomplete, materials are needed, or a problem comes up, you communicate it and help move the job toward completion rather than allowing it to fall through the cracks.

Communication

You’re part of a larger team. Clear job notes, photos, material updates, and communication with our Service Professionals and office team are essential.

Customer Experience

Even though you aren’t responsible for selling the job, you are working inside our customers’ homes and representing Mr. Electric. We expect professionalism, respect, cleanliness, and great communication.

You May Be a Great Fit If You…
  • Take pride in doing clean, professional electrical work
  • Can work independently while still…
