Position Number:
Grade: NC06
Shift: Third shift, 12‑hour shifts, full‑time, on‑call hours, weekends, holidays, rotating schedule.
- Ensure overall safety and security of youth, staff, and facility during third shift.
- Supervise all third‑shift youth monitors; plan and prepare staff coverage and scheduling in living units.
- Monitor shift activities, visit living units regularly, provide staff support and coverage.
- Perform crisis intervention, respond to visitors and telephone calls, and notify appropriate staff in emergencies.
- Conduct nightly shift review, update staff on incidents, policies, and procedures; provide mini‑training sessions.
- Review and approve written assignments of third‑shift youth monitors.
- Prepare written reports and update incoming supervisors of third‑shift events.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum education:
Associate degree from an accredited institution and three years of related human services experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Physical ability to apply restraints and defend self after training.
- At least 20 years of age and U.S. citizenship.
- Pass a criminal background check, drug screening, psychological test, sexual risk screening, vision and hearing test, and physical exam.
- Experience with individual and group behavior management.
- Experience with crisis intervention counseling approaches.
- Experience communicating with staff at all levels to provide expectations that align with agency core values.
- Experience working with minority group cultures.
$34,270 – $59,973
Work ScheduleFull‑time (40 hours per week), third shift, 12‑hour shifts, on‑call hours, weekends, holidays, rotating schedule to meet the needs of juveniles and their families.
