POSITION

PURPOSE:

  • Provides oversight of assigned vendors to ensure company compliance with the work performed. Provides technical onsite troubleshooting assistance and updates Maintenance Control / Management of the progress of the checks inducted.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
  • Oversee component repair regarding items that are returned no fault found or tested without a firm conclusion of fix.
  • Create company documents to assist in the repair and inspection of company aircraft and components.
  • Responsible for the daily troubleshooting assistance provided to line station technicians and Maintenance Control.
  • Assure you that the proper troubleshooting and repairs of the assigned aircraft are completed.
  • Assures safe operation and the continued airworthiness of MAC aircraft.
  • Assures compliance with safety policies and procedures found in Company manuals.
  • Demonstrate on a daily basis commitment to the continuous improvement of safety.
  • Performs analysis of aircraft failures and parts failures to identify trends.
  • Is a representative of the CASS Department as needed assisting in performing root cause analysis.
  • Assist in compliance with FAA requirements for Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUPS).
  • Perform on site training of technicians in regard to troubleshooting and system operations.
  • Aid the customer / vendor regarding aircraft schedules, parts movements, Mod status of the aircraft fleet.
  • Assists with ECTM / FOQA Data collection tasks and assignments.
  • Coordinate with maintenance management to identify training or operational issues.
  • Assist with entering discrepancy and corrective action information into MAC II for all C208 external vendor work orders
  • Review and provide approval for all external C208 aircraft bids/ work order closures
  • Perform/ assist in audit/reconciliation of any inventory/asset issues
  • Assist with approving daily P1 shipping requests as needed
  • Assist with Heavy Station Management conference / update calls.
  • Assist with budget/forecast and other company / customer financial requirements.
  • Daily management of internal and external vendors per airworthiness agreements or similar pertaining to labor hour approvals, parts usage, and cost capture.
  • Assist in management of onsite work flows in order to make the estimated agreed upon aircraft out dates.
  • Other duties as requested by the Director of Maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • FAA Airframe and power plant (A&P) certificate.
  • Must have 5 years’ experience in 121, 135 or 145 operations
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience with C208 or similar type aircraft.
SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal, with company personnel, vendors and line technicians in order to accurately determine necessary course of action.
  • Knowledge of appropriate safety requirements in order to coordinate aircraft repairs that contribute to safe and on time performance.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
  • Work typically performed in an office environment. However, due to work requirements, may require frequent travel will involve exposure to noise, chemicals, adverse temperatures and other similar hazards.
