Position
Class A CDL Truck Driver – Lexington, NC
Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Lexington, NC. This full‑time position offers weekly pay, a robust backhaul program, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Compensation- Weekly pay $1,800 – $2,000 (guaranteed start)
- Sign‑on bonus: $1,250 after 30 days and another $1,250 after 90 days
- $65 per night in the truck (3–5 nights per week)
- Backhaul program: extra miles + $50 pickup / $50 delivery pay
- Schedule:
Sunday to Friday
- Medical, dental, and vision after 30 days
- 80 hours PTO in the first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid)
- Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided
- 401(k) rollover available immediately with company match at 1 year
- 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility)

- Route:
Regional covering NC, SC, GA, MS, AL, TN, VA, WV, OH, MI, PA, IL, IA, MO, MN, WI, MD, NJ, NY - Tractor:
Sleeper - Trailer: 53′ Dry Van
- Freight:
Touch–window & doors; tailgating window & doors; slide windows & doors from inside the trailer to the back door/scan - Must have 1 year of sleeper experience
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: at least 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs
- Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by the customer
- Performing other duties as assigned
