Class A CDL Truck Driver – Lexington, NC

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Lexington, NC. This full‑time position offers weekly pay, a robust backhaul program, and a comprehensive benefits package.

• Weekly pay $1,800 – $2,000 (guaranteed start)
• Sign‑on bonus: $1,250 after 30 days and another $1,250 after 90 days
• $65 per night in the truck (3–5 nights per week)
• Backhaul program: extra miles + $50 pickup / $50 delivery pay
• Schedule:
  
  Sunday to Friday

• Medical, dental, and vision after 30 days
• 80 hours PTO in the first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid)

• Route:
  Regional covering NC, SC, GA, MS, AL, TN, VA, WV, OH, MI, PA, IL, IA, MO, MN, WI, MD, NJ, NY
• Tractor:
  Sleeper
• Trailer: 53′ Dry Van
• Freight:
  Touch–window & doors; tailgating window & doors; slide windows & doors from inside the trailer to the back door/scan
• Must have 1 year of sleeper experience

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: at least 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by the customer
• Performing other duties as assigned
