As a growing 501(c)(3), non‑profit organization, CRCI is always looking for new talented individuals who can be an addition to its efforts. It is CRCI’s Management's desire that each person involved with the organization (paid or not paid) has a burden for the lost, the sick, and the suffering. Staff is a representation of the CRCI program, and it will be expected for them to conduct themselves in a manner that would always promote and elevate the image of CRCI to the community. Any behavior that promotes a negative image of the organization is unacceptable.
The Warehouse Technician plays a vital role in supporting the mission of Christian Recovery Centers, Inc. (CRCI) by ensuring all donated goods are received, processed, sorted, and prepared for sale efficiently and safely. This position is responsible for all back‑of‑house operations, including donation intake, product processing, inventory movement, pricing preparation, recycling, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Donation Receiving and Processing- Receive and unload donations from donors, delivery vehicles, and internal transfers.
- Sort donated items according to established guidelines and determine items for sale, recycling, or disposal.
- Inspect merchandise for cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.
- Separate items into appropriate categories, including clothing, furniture, household goods, electronics, books, and miscellaneous merchandise.
- Prepare merchandise for the sales floor by cleaning, organizing, hanging, and packaging items as needed.
- Assist with pricing and tagging merchandise according to established procedures.
- Stage processed merchandise for efficient movement to the sales floor.
- Ensure products are presented in a manner that supports maximum sales potential.
- Maintain organized storage areas and warehouse work spaces.
- Assist with inventory rotation and movement of merchandise between departments and store locations.
- Load and unload transfer trucks and donation vehicles.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate processing needs to management.
- Ensure donated merchandise flows efficiently from intake to the sales floor.
- Properly sort and prepare recyclable materials, textiles, cardboard, metal, and other non‑sellable items.
- Maintain designated recycling and waste areas.
- Follow all procedures regarding disposal of damaged or unsellable merchandise.
- Operate pallet jacks, rolling carts, and other equipment safely and responsibly.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and maintain a clean, hazard‑free work environment.
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and damaged equipment to management immediately.
- Use proper lifting techniques and follow all workplace safety guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with store staff, volunteers, and residents.
- Assist in training new team members on warehouse processes and procedures.
- Model CRCI's core values in every interaction.
- Support special projects, store events, and operational needs as assigned.
- Perform other duties as needed to ensure the success of thrift store operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, production, retail, or donation processing experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to CRCI's mission and values.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely move furniture and large donated items with assistance when needed.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and warehouse environments.
