Overview

The primary purpose of the Warehouse Order Selector is to ensure the accurate, efficient, and safe selection of product for customer orders. This includes building stable, damage‑free pallets according to selection systems, adhering to company standards for quality and productivity, and supporting overall warehouse operations through timely and precise execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Stack product on pallets in a stable configuration to ensure stable pallets for truck delivery and to minimize breakage.
  • Work with QA to correct errors as identified by weight variance.
  • Adhere to company time and attendance policies.
  • Check all product for damages to ensure no unsalable product is delivered.
  • Follow proper procedures to ensure license plates are matched to correct pallets.
  • Safely operate and be certified on warehouse equipment including electric rider jack, forklift, and manual pallet jack.
  • Participate in clean‑up and stack‑down as well as general maintenance duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager and/or Supervisor.
  • Fill out inspection on equipment daily and ensure that lead acid batteries are filled with water each week.
  • Meet company productivity standards.
  • Meet company order accuracy standards.
  • Meet company maximum breakage/product damage standards.
  • Notify replenishment of product needs to avoid pick‑outs using correct process.
  • Obey all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Follow all company safety rules and practices.
  • Handle equipment safely and take responsibility for ensuring the safety of other employees.
  • Adhere to dress code and be properly attired and groomed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Part‑Time Availability

Available to work a 5‑hour shift:
Monday – Friday (9am‑2pm or 2pm‑7pm). Hours not guaranteed. No company benefits. No overtime allowed. Adhere to OSHA compliance and requirements.

Physical Demands

Heavy physical exertion consisting of continuously lifting or moving heavy‑weight material or continuously lifting or moving average‑weight material in difficult work positions, or frequently lifting or moving heavy‑weight materials in difficult work positions, or expending equivalent effort in pulling, pushing, carrying, or shoveling.

Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance. Must regularly lift up to 50pounds and sometimes lift more than 100pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibility for Safety of Others

Constant care is necessary to prevent injury to others, due to the inherent hazards of the job; accidents, if they occur, could partially incapacitate someone.

Hazards

Injuries, if they occur, may result in loss of time due to crushed hand or foot, eye injuries, abrasions and cuts, etc.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, a candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The role requires basic reading, writing, and understanding of simple instructions; basic math skills.

High school education is not required but would provide basic skills to learn the job.

Experience

Up to and including 3 months of experience.
