Director of Nursing - Lake Pointe Rehabilitation & Nursing Center
Lake Pointe Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, a 74-bed facility located on the banks of Lake Erie, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department. As a full-time, salaried leadership role, this position offers a comprehensive benefits package.
Our skilled nursing facility in Conneaut, OH is dedicated to providing exceptional long-term care and rehabilitation services. We value strong clinical leadership, teamwork, and a resident-centered approach to healthcare. As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee all clinical and nursing operations within the facility, ensuring high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all clinical and nursing operations within the facility
- Ensure high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance
- Lead, train, and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, STNAs)
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and facility leadership
- Monitor staffing levels, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
- Promote a positive, team-focused culture within the nursing department
Requirements:
- Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- Previous leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing (strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations, and experience in managing positive survey outcomes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work full-time hours and manage a nursing team effectively
