Correctional Officer

$22.39 per hour

• Provide security, care, and direct supervision of inmates/residents in housing units, at meals, during recreation, on work assignments, and during all other phases of activity in a correctional facility.
• Employ weapons or force if necessary to maintain discipline and order.
• Maintain order and security of inmates.
• Work any shift, assigned to various posts including armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, etc.

You may be a fit for this role if you:

• Have a high school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Can demonstrate the ability to complete any required training.
• Are available to work any hours, any shift.
• Are at least 18 years of age.
• Have or are willing to obtain the necessary criminal justice or security officer certification;
  Core Civic will provide paid training and cover licensing costs.
• May have prior criminal justice experience;
  Core Civic also offers training for those without experience.
