Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Vaco is working with a well‑established manufacturing company seeking a hands‑on Controller to lead accounting and financial operations while partnering closely with leadership and operations teams to drive efficiency, reporting accuracy, and process improvements.

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll oversight, inventory, cost accounting, reconciliations, and monthly close
• Prepare monthly financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
• Partner with operations on cost tracking, margin analysis, inventory management, and production reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and operational decision‑making
• Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and ERP workflows
• Assist with audits, tax support, and compliance reporting

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
• 6+ years of public and/or corporate accounting experience
• Manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting experience required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• ERP experience (Net Suite, Quick Books, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience improving processes and partnering cross‑functionally with operations teams preferred
