Autobody Damage Appraiser / Estimator Crowley Auto Body – Bristol, CTJob Type Full-Time Pay $55,000 – $85,000 per year (based on experience)
Bonus opportunities based on performance / KPIsJob Summary Crowley Auto Body is seeking an experienced Autobody Damage Appraiser / Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage, writing detailed repair estimates, and coordinating with insurance partners and customers to ensure a smooth repair process.
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can balance accuracy, speed, and customer communication in a fast-paced collision repair environment.
Responsibilities Inspect vehicles and assess collision damage
Write accurate and complete repair estimates using CCC ONEUpload photos and documentation to insurance portals
Communicate with insurance adjusters to negotiate and finalize repairs
Blueprint repairs to ensure complete and efficient production flow Identify all damage (visible and hidden) prior to repair start
Coordinate with production manager and technicians on repair plans
Provide customers with repair updates and timelines
Ensure all work follows OEM procedures and DRP requirements
Monitor supplements and ensure proper documentation
Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores
Requirements
Experience2+ years experience as an autobody estimator/appraiser (required)
DRP experience
Strong understanding of collision repair processes
Skills
Proficiency in estimating platforms (CCC ONE preferred)
Strong negotiation skills with insurance companies
Ability to blueprint and identify hidden damage
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational and time management ability
Attention to detail and accuracy
Certifications (Preferred)
I-CAR Platinum or Pro Level Certification
ASE Certification (B6 – Damage Analysis & Estimating)
Key Performance Expectations Estimate accuracy and minimal supplements
Cycle time improvement through proper blueprinting
Strong communication with customers and insurance partners
High CSI scores
Efficient handling of repair orders and workflow
