! We are looking for full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state‑of‑the‑art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Rocky Point, NY area.
As leaders in undercar repairs, our Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. They perform a wide variety of undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks. They are also responsible for completing state‑mandated inspections, changing oil and filters, checking fluids, replacing worn parts, and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
Responsibilities- Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles.
- Perform undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks.
- Complete state‑mandated inspections.
- Change oil and filters, check fluids, and replace worn parts.
- Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair.
- Regularly lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.

- At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Two years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- An extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs.
- Preferred:
State inspection license(s). - Preferred: ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).
