POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate Director is responsible for supporting the data‑driven strategy and revenue generation for the Husky Athletic Fund. This position provides instrumental support in data management, analytics and strategy development and supports the external fundraising strategy of Athletics Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead data management, donor record management, and fundraising analysis efforts for the Athletics Development team.
  • Lead management of the Athletics database (Paciolan) and assist in management of Foundation CRM (FELIX) and support that data input, output and connectivity between the two essential systems.
  • Act as liaison between HAF and the revenue generation team within Athletics and collaborate with the UConn Ticket Office in the execution of donor‑related ticket benefits, event attendance, and process management related to external engagement of the donor constituency.
  • Act as liaison between HAF and the Athletics Business Office to inform budgeting decisions throughout the Fiscal Year.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in the office and at events.
  • Collaborate with Advancement Services, Finance, Marketing & Communications, General Counsel’s office and other Foundation or University units to organize and coordinate special projects and proposals.
  • Participate in planning donor‑related events and stewardship activities: including pre‑event planning, registration, and post‑event wrap up.
  • Provide support for home football, men’s, and women’s basketball donor hospitality areas. This will require the ability to work outside of normal business hours, but with advanced notice.
  • Assist in providing general office support when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
LEADERSHIP

Provide visible leadership across the entire organization by engaging in organization‑wide activities such as department meetings, all‑staff meetings, and staff events.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Champion for inclusive priorities both internally and externally.
  • Understanding of athletics programs preferred.
  • Well‑organized self‑starter who can manage time effectively and possesses excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work in a fast‑paced environment; ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to engender trust and confidence of donors and prospective donors and to maintain confidentiality of donor information.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and prioritize work responsibilities.
  • Design experience preferred, including Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Exhibits excellent customer service and is effective in handling situations with donors, Foundation staff, University staff, and visitors.
  • Integrity in dealing with confidential information.
  • Willingness and availability to work some nights and weekends.
  • Must be able and willing to travel; must have reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license issued from the state of residence. Must maintain automobile liability insurance coverage of at least $500,000 and provide proof at hire and annually thereafter.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in athletics development, support, or related experience.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office suite and donor management systems.
SALARY

The expected salary for this position is $65,000+. It will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also placing an emphasis on internal equity.
