This role supports internal and external customers with tools, safety supplies, parts repair and maintenance work orders, and related administrative duties in a manufacturing environment.

1st shift - 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay Range: $22.00-$28.00

Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, obtain, select and disperse tools, safety supplies, parts repair and/or maintenance work orders from diverse sources. Disassemble, assemble, clean and prepare tools to guidelines for functionality, usage and safety. Ensure company equipment and property are assigned to employees including the purchase of tools and related items.
  • Perform diversified duties in storing, assembling, assigning, distributing, monitoring, tracing, verifying, compiling, posting and updating inventory, product reports, accounting papers, schedules, receipts, invoices, purchase orders, and related documents. Maintain classification and filing systems for tooling and related equipment, ensuring parts are stored, cataloged and cross-referenced by size and identification number. Ensure supplies and parts are properly stored and the Inventory area complies with housekeeping standards.

    Maintain usage logs and accuracy controls; correct records as needed. Transcribe and verify distributions, inventory levels, material documents, records and information using standard software for word processing, spreadsheets and data entry.
  • Resolve internal customer questions or problems related to supplies; initiate action for repair, replacement, or service, or refer unusual situations to supervisor for review. Liaise with other departments for supply completion, verify data, and requisition supplies from sources. Maintain Tool Crib equipment and perform routine calculations, mailing preparation, forms, phone coverage, and cross-department coordination. Perform standard purchasing duties including reviewing quotations with supervisor for price, delivery, quality and quantity;

    review, order and expedite requests as required.
  • Contact internal and/or external customers regarding miscues (delayed shipments, shortages, etc.) and explain circumstances as needed.
  • May work on special projects and ensure compliance with ISO/AS standards. May provide administrative support for various elements.
  • May provide analytical and specialized administrative support on routine and non-routine assignments; may provide technical guidance to co-workers on procedures, equipment operation, and sequence of operations.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to work methods, machinery, documentation, materials, safety and team projects to improve products, people, profits, and reduce cost and scrap.
  • Communicate with supervisor and co-workers regarding production, procedures, tools, safety supplies, parts, repairs and preventive maintenance; prepare recommendations to modify methods or processes for improved productivity and quality.
  • Assist in training and acclimatization of new employees; may be trained in continuous improvement techniques and participate in work teams.
  • Follow company and safety policies; perform work in a satisfactory level or above with safety in mind.
  • Quality and efficiency are measured to ISO/AS standards; documentation accuracy and timeliness are evaluated; proficiency with apparatus/procedures and data usage is assessed.
  • Demonstrate skills, attitude, accuracy and quality in performance; align with personal goals and organizational objectives.
  • Exhibit initiative, communication, adaptability, attendance and compliance with supervisors/company/safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain good administrative and organizational skills; knowledge of computer programs and data entry; operate office equipment and precision measuring instruments as needed.
  • Read and interpret material lists, specifications, and inspection standards; communicate effectively in English with various personnel; maintain interpersonal tact and discretion.
