Role Description

We are seeking individuals to join our team as Before and After School Staff at our Essex, Old Saybrook, and Clinton locations. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Westbrook, CT. Responsibilities include supervising and engaging children in structured activities before and after school, ensuring their safety and well-being, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Staff will also assist in planning and implementing creative and educational activities, promoting group participation, and building strong, supportive relationships with children and their families to create a healthy, enjoyable environment.

Qualifications
  • Experience in child care, youth program coordination, or working with children in a structured environment
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Organizational and time management abilities to ensure programs run effectively
  • Ability to create a safe and encouraging atmosphere that promotes inclusivity and character building
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
  • Education or coursework in child development, education, or related fields is a plus
