Girls on the Run Coaches 2026 Season

CHAMPS After School Enrichment is seeking four staff members to serve as coaches for the 2026 Girls on the Run program. This nationally recognized program is open to grades 3-6 and combines social-emotional learning with distance running to empower students to develop confidence, connection, and health habits.

Program Details

* Likely schedule:
Mondays and Wednesdays likely, 3:30-4:30 p.m.

* Celebratory 5K at the Cigna Campus in Bloomfield on Saturday, May 9, 2026

* Training:
Required and provided through Girls on the Run of Greater Connecticut

Preferred Qualifications

* Certified teachers, other staff can be considered

* Interest in running

* Enthusiastic, positive, and supportive role model

* Participation is required for all practices and the 5K on May 9

Compensation

* Per contract if in a union
