QUALIFICATIONS:

CT Certification Required - 068 School Counselor

Preference for high school experience

Excellent communication, both written and verbal

Understand the developmental expectations for students of different ages

Understand the assessments and aptitude tests and possess the ability to properly interpret the results.

Maintain and utilize superior interpersonal skills with persons of all ages and across diverse backgrounds.

Possess a thorough understanding of warning signs of abuse, neglect, or other crimes.

Possess the ability to work well with a variety of other personalities.

Proficiently use Google Suite, CT-SEDs, or related software.

POSITION DETAILS: temporary position through the end of the  school year

The School Counselor will assist students in areas of academic achievement, personal or social development, and career exploration so that each student can identify personal goals, strengths, weaknesses, and interests and grow to become a well-adjusted and productive adult.
