The Wells Fargo Center for Neurodiversity & Inclusive Employment at the University of Connecticut is seeking a full-time Coordinator of Stakeholder Engagement (Educational Program Coordinator). The incumbent will report to the Executive Director of the Center and serve as the primary liaison between the Center and its three core stakeholder groups—employers, university partners, and neurodivergent job seekers—as well as organizations and partners in the neurodiversity and employment ecosystem.
The coordinator will manage key relationships, lead delivery of employer education offerings, and oversee large‑scale events and initiatives that connect organizations and candidates in the Center’s network.
This is a 12‑month, end‑date, annually renewable position. The position will be based in Hartford but may require travel to Storrs or other regional campuses, as well as other locations in‑state and out‑of‑state. Occasional weekend and evening hours may also be required in support of program activities and events.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Serve as the main point of contact for the Center’s expanding network of partner universities, employers, and community organizations; respond to inquiries and lead the development of engagements with the Center and its programs, education opportunities, and events; make referrals as appropriate.
- Coordinate program logistics and communications for university–employer engagements in an ongoing manner, including the Neurodiversity Career Experience Program; collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely scheduling, material preparation, and event execution.
- Assist in providing individualized, on‑demand coaching and employment guidance to neurodivergent candidates within the Center’s network.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, ensuring ongoing, seamless collaboration and information exchange; manage partner outreach and onboarding.
- Represent the Center in external meetings and at national conferences, maintaining professional and mission‑aligned communications.
- Develop, coordinate, and execute all partner and participant communications and promotional information for the Center’s programs and workshops, ensuring consistent tone, professionalism, and follow‑up.
- Collaborate with the Center’s Executive Director to plan, develop, and implement national professional development initiatives for the Association of Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD), including developing virtual and conference programming for over 5,000 members, and coordinating the production of educational video materials.
- Supervise the day‑to‑day delivery of program content and services for AHEAD and other center offerings.
- Assist with instruction for select employer learning sessions, delivering curriculum and resources developed by the Center, as assigned.
- Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of program content. Track engagement metrics and program outcomes to support reporting and continuous improvement.
- Hire, train, supervise, evaluate student employees, determine work assignments, monitor progress on projects, and determine prioritization of tasks.
- Coordinate special projects which may be ongoing or short‑term, and which require planning, coordination, supervision, and thorough knowledge of the program.
- Perform related duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Three to four years of related work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement educational programs.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve day‑to‑day program problems.
- Prior experience planning, organizing, and executing both small and large‑scale events.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Demonstrated experience taking initiative, working independently and accurately, exercising sound judgment when making decisions, and meeting deadlines.
- Proven experience working well as part of a team.
