Peer Advocates Advisor Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Non-Athletic Co‑Curricular Coordinator, the Peer Advocates Advisor is responsible for developing, directing, and training student members to assist peers who may be experiencing problems in or out of school. Advisors provide students with the skills to recognize situations where adult professional involvement is required. The advisor designs practices that complement the academic curriculum program to promote all pupils' growth and development and performs additional duties as delegated by the High School Administration or their designee.

School year: weekly or bi‑weekly meetings.
1‑2 training sessions / 5‑7 hours of after‑school instruction to students.
The Peer Advocate Advisor has the following duties and responsibilities:
- Regular meetings
- Extended training sessions
- Short trainings at meetings
- Individual conferences as needed for supporting students with their interventions
- Respond to situations that fall within the “Red Flag Issues” category
- Adhere to all BOE policies and other co‑curricular policies and regulations
