REQUIREMENTS: A High School Diploma
Professional letters of recommendation.
A completed East Haddam Support Staff Application.
Two years of higher education coursework or an Associate degree or valid Para Pro certificate

East Haddam School District is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and collaborative full-time Special Education Para educator for the  school year. This role specifically focuses on supporting elementary students with diverse emotional and behavioral needs, helping them thrive both academically and socially.
In this role, you will work closely with special education teachers, general education staff, and administration to provide a structured, supportive environment. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Providing direct academic, emotional, and behavioral support to designated students.
• Assisting in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention strategies.
• Consistently collecting and tracking student behavior and academic data to monitor progress.
• Fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.
