10 ½ month position:
August 17, 2026 – June 17, 2027 (subject to school calendar and closures)

Salary for : $85,000 – $95,000

The Dean of Students and Activities is responsible for the supervision and oversight of students at Daisy Ingraham Elementary School in matters of attendance, wellness, safety, behavior, and social and emotional needs. The Dean also supports the Principal with leadership and supervision tasks.

CT 092 Certification in Intermediate Administration and Supervision PK‑12 or enrollment in a program leading to 092 certification. Experience working in an elementary school setting in the areas identified below.

• Reports to the Principal.
• Conducts investigations related to students (office referrals, Title IX, bullying) as directed by the Principal.
• Determines appropriate restorative practices and/or disciplinary consequences and communicates with parents in collaboration with the Principal.
• Coordinates, supervises, and evaluates building substitutes and communicates coverage as needed.
• Provides coverage when other options are unavailable.
• Supervises cafeteria during lunch and playgrounds during recess.
• Supervises bus/parent pick‑up and drop‑off before and after school.
• Coordinates, plans, and supervises all non‑athletic activities after school and evenings as assigned by the Principal.
• Coordinates, plans, and leads lockdowns and fire drills in collaboration with the Principal.
• Builds master schedule and duty schedules in collaboration with and under direction of the Principal.
• Serves as MTSS lead for behavior and attendance interventions for grades K‑5 and actively participates in the MTSS Leadership Committee (meetings held twice per month after school).
• Coordinates and supervises assessment schedules and proctoring assignments.
• Serves as the building Safe School Climate Specialist.

Mornings, late afternoons, and some evenings are required components of this position and will be determined in collaboration with the Principal to ensure activities and student events are appropriately supervised.
