Per Para educator Contract Wage Schedule III.
To serve as an integral member of the student support team to provide services to students in accordance with the goals/objectives identified by the Individual Education Plan (IEP) with the overarching goal of promoting student independence and autonomy.
This program currently services students that are medically fragile and require nursing care. Students require adaptive equipment, specialized augmentative communication, and assistive technology in order to access their educational environment. Art and music therapy are provided to support the student’s ability to become connected to their environment. Students are assigned to the TEAM class as well as a general education class in order to support inclusive opportunities and maintain a relationship with their community.
Related services can include speech therapy, social skills, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.
Note:
Teachers dually certified in TESOL, Bilingual Education or ESL, with experience in Sheltered Instruction or fluency in a language other than English, will be given preference for all Stamford Public School positions.
