Position: Special Education Teacher Contract *Up to 55/hr
Location: Pequabuck

Special Education Teacher Contract for up to $55 per hour. Provide instruction and support for approximately 23 students in a resource room setting, delivering services to middle school students during the fall term. Impact student learning by implementing individualized strategies and collaborating with school staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide instruction and support for students in a Special Education resource room setting (approx. 23 students).

  • Deliver Special Education services for middle school students during the long‑term sub timeframe (September through end of November).

  • Develop and implement individualized support strategies aligned to students’ needs and learning goals.

  • Collaborate with school staff to support student progress within the classroom and resource room environment.

  • Maintain required documentation and follow school/district procedures for Special Education programming.

  • Qualifications:
    • Special Education Teacher License or equivalent certification.

    • Degree in Special Education or related field required, or equivalent credentials accepted by the state.

    • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Special Education Teacher.

    • Experience working with middle school students during the fall term.

    • Strong classroom management, patience, and collaboration skills.

    • Ability to support students in a resource room setting (approx. 23 students).

    • Reliable attendance for a 37.5‑hour/week day schedule.

    • Ability to follow school and district policies, including documentation requirements.
