Salary: Salary, work year and working conditions will be in accordance with the current contract between the Board of Education and the Teamster Union. (2026/2027 Hourly rate $22.57)

Hours:
32.5 hours per week (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Mondays: 8:20am - 3:20pm
Tuesday-Friday: 8:40am - 3:40pm
Reports to: Building Administrator
Qualifications:- Candidate should hold a Bachelors/Associate's degree or 2 years of college credit or pass a State Board of Education adopted paraprofessional assessment, which assesses content knowledge in mathematics, reading and writing and an understanding of how to assist in the instruction of these topics.
- State of CT Educator Certification (or eligibility) preferred.
- Communicate effectively with the educational team so student needs are supported.
- Communicate in culturally respectful and sensitive ways with students and families.
- Work cooperatively with other team members to improve the instructional program.
- Effectively use computer and technology to support effective instruction and student learning.
- Evaluate and differentiate student progress and adapt individual programs to meet student needs.
- Work under the direct supervision of and confer with, a variety of certified staff member: classroom teachers, specialist and administrators.
- Perform other tasks directly supporting the learning process of students, as designed by the certified staff.
