The Adjunct Music Instructor is responsible for providing quality music instruction to our students. The instructor is responsible for providing one-on-one instruction so that students are able to successfully complete graduation requirements and/or personal goals in an engaging environment.
Specific Duties and
Responsibilities include:
- The primary responsibilities of the Adjunct Music Instructor is teaching weekly private music lessons in qualified areas of voice and/or instrument.
- Preparing music students for performances
- Maintaining a written record of each student's preparation and progress throughout the semester
- Reporting as needed to the department head or program coordinator
A Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field is required. Preference given to professionals with teaching experience, ideally at the secondary level. The ideal candidate will be:
- a student-centered educator
- an effective oral and written communicator
- eager to work collaboratively with colleagues
- committed to improving their practice through peer observation
- dedicated to making positive contributions to the student experience and in student performance preparations
Pay rate: $55/lesson
Additional Requirements:- Successful completion of post-offer, pre-employment criminal background checks and drug test.
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
- Work is performed on a smoke-free campus.
