About the role?As a 1:1 Support Assistant you will:
- Monitor and record the pupil's progress, providing feedback to teachers and other professionals.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external agencies where required.
- Adapt learning resources and teaching approaches to meet the individual needs of the child.
- Promote positive behaviour using appropriate strategies and school policies.
- Encourage the pupil's confidence, independence, and engagement within the classroom.
We are looking for 1:1 Support Assistant who:
- A minimum of two years' experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Experience supporting children with additional learning needs or SEND (desirable).
- A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
- A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to supporting children's individual needs.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to accurately record and report pupil progress.
