Position Summary

This position is responsible for managing campus-wide student programming efforts for both residential and commuter students. The position will work in collaboration with other offices to co-sponsor educational, social, and cultural programs for the traditional undergraduate student population. In addition to core programming duties, this role supports Residence Life by participating in the campus-wide Administrator on Call rotation and serving as a resource for the Residence Life team This is a twelve-month full-time position that is live-in with rotating Administrator On Call responsibilities, within residential life.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Student Engagement:
    • Serve as advisor to the Campus Activities Board (CAB)
    • Assist with major student events on campus
    • Establish recruitment and leadership succession strategies for CAB
    • Train student leaders within CAB and Commuter Council so that they are prepared for their roles on campus
    • Advise the Commuter Council; coordinate commuter engagement efforts
    • Manage and maintain all student engagement social media accounts while supporting student organizations and other department postings
    • Develop and design the Fearless Six calendar, distributing it across campus at the beginning of each semester
    • Collaborate with other departments on campus to develop high impact programs throughout the year, specifically centered around celebrating diversity and inclusion
    • Participate in weekly team meetings and Student Affairs Staff meetings
    • Assist with New Student Orientation, including the Orientation Leader training and programs at various times of the year
    • Work in partnership with Student Health & Wellness Services to develop and promote health and wellness awareness programs and initiatives
    • Promote student involvement, engagement, and success by providing social, educational, and co-curricular programming
  • Coordinate Leadership Development opportunities including planning and executing the Leadership Summit
  • Represent the office at institution wide events, both on and off campus
  • Residential Life:
    • This is a twelve-month full-time position that is live-in with rotating Administrator On Call responsibilities.
    • Respond to incidents when on call and complete incident reports in a timely manner
    • Participate in regular bi-weekly staff meetings
    • Participate in RA training and other trainings and presentation offered by the Office of Residential Life
    • Work with the Resident Assistants and Assistant Residential Life Coordinators to create and execute weekend & other programming for the residential student population
    • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Friendly, outgoing, organized, able to multi-task, proficient in email, google suite, microsoft suite products and Canva
  • Able to navigate social media platforms and college used systems such as Colleague, Navigate, Slate and others
Work Schedule Requirements
  • Full time position with nights and weekend hours expected regularly.
