Systems is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to support product development and engineering lab operations at our factory in Morris, CT. This role requires strong hands‑on electronics capability, including the ability to read and create schematics, troubleshoot analog and digital circuits at the board and component level, and assist engineers in designing and building test fixtures and custom test equipment.
- Read, interpret, and create electrical schematics for analog and digital circuits
- Support PCB bring‑up, debugging, and component‑level troubleshooting
- Build and wire test fixtures, harnesses, and lab setups to support engineering validation
- Use lab instrumentation including oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies, and function generator (spectrum analyzer a plus)
- Perform soldering and rework on PCB assemblies (SMT and through‑hole; fine‑pitch preferred)
- Support prototype builds, engineering samples, and pre‑production units
- Document test procedures, measurements, and results clearly (lab logs, test reports, engineering notes)
- Maintain an organized engineering lab environment (tools, components, reference hardware)
- 3+ years in an electronics technician, test technician, or engineering lab role
- Proven ability to troubleshoot circuits using schematics and bench instrumentation
- Hands‑on experience with PCB assembly, soldering, rework, and ESD practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Ability to work effectively with Electrical, Firmware, and Mechanical Engineering teams
- Experience with schematic capture or ECAD tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, KiCad)
- Familiarity with embedded systems (Arduino/Raspberry Pi)
- Test automation or instrument control (Python, SCPI)
- Experience building jigs/fixtures or supporting electrical/photometric test setups
Compensation:
