Job Description:

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in bridging product development and full-scale production. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the successful introduction of new products into manufacturing, ensuring processes are cost-effective, efficient, reliable, and aligned with quality standards. The role works closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges and optimize machining and assembly operations.

Responsibilities:

* Develop proposals for automation, mechanization, process improvements, and specialized tooling

* Conduct studies on manufacturing methods, cycle times, and cost estimates for new or complex projects

* Evaluate new machines and equipment for production capabilities and provide recommendations for investment

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing to improve manufacturability

* Review engineering drawings and support design improvements related to production processes

* Assist in training and guiding team members on manufacturing methods and standards

* Maintain documentation including process specifications, test reports, and project summaries

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

* Experience in project management within a manufacturing environment

* CAD experience;
Solid Works preferred

* Knowledge of machining, mechanical systems, press fits, tolerances, and general manufacturing processes

This is a Permanent position based out of Westbrook, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
