What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and deploy complex Ignition SCADA systems for manufacture of hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including Manufacturing engineering, Material handling, Quality, and Operations to define requirements and specifications.
- Integrate Ignition systems with PLCs, HMIs, databases, and other control systems in manufacturing.
- Configure Ignition software to meet specific project requirements, including developing custom scripts and templates.
- Design and implement control systems, including PLC programming, hardware selection, and network configuration.
- Develop and test software solutions for manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless communication and control.
- Design, develop, and optimize machine automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Materials and Engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to new product implementation, automation systems and controls hardware.
- Analyze processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements through collaboration of various teams in manufacturing.
- Ensure all automation solutions comply with safety standards and best practices in manufacturing.
- Ability to manage project timelines of work performed, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
This is a 2nd Shift Position (Evenings - weekdays). There is a shift differential that is associated with the compensation for this position.
Security ClearanceSecurity Clearance Type:
None/Not Required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience and a minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Extensive experience in developing and integrating Ignition SCADA systems.
- Strong expertise in controls hardware engineering, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial networking.
- Proven experience in machine automation within a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and process optimization.
- Proficiency in programming languages used in automation and control systems (e.g., Python, Java, Ladder Logic).
- Strong project management skills with a track record of leading successful automation projects.
