Engineering Supervisor
Work Model:
This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.
The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leading a team that delivers the integration, design, and development of brake and clutch products across a broad portfolio. This role provides technical leadership and oversight to refine and integrate products into the Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS). Projects typically focus on Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives and product improvements related to quality and cost.
The Engineering Supervisor collaborates closely with manufacturing, R&D, and customers to define product scope and application requirements.
- Lead and manage a team of 2–5 design and project engineers.
- Communicate effectively and provide leadership within the Design Engineering function and across other departments.
- Manage technical ownership and content for the electro-mechanical brake product portfolio.
- Lead VAVE initiatives and product improvement activities within the Design Engineering department.
- Prepare customer reports communicating verification and validation results related to new designs, changes, or deviations.
- Work directly with customers on new applications and custom design solutions.
- Prepare or oversee the development of accurate engineering drawings for new or revised designs.
- Apply and oversee the use of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Develop and apply in-depth product knowledge to specific customer applications.
- Utilize 3D solid modeling CAD software and finite element analysis (FEA) tools for product design and analysis.
- Ensure adherence to all safety rules and report questionable conditions to management.
- Travel up to 10% domestically, primarily to customer locations or other Regal Rexnord facilities.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in product or process development involving industrial products; relevant internships and demonstrated accomplishments may be credited toward experience.
- Strong willingness to work hands-on to build, develop, and troubleshoot products and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, technical manuals, safety rules, professional publications, and government regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and respond to questions from employees, managers, customers, and the public.
- Proven ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience.
- Experience with high-reliability products, industrial automation, or export-controlled products.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software, preferably Solid Works.
