We’re seeking someone to join our Valuation Control team as a Real Estate Investment Valuation Specialist

The role sits within the Valuation Control Investments team, which provides independent oversight of fund and fund asset valuations across private markets on behalf of both the Firm and the Fund’s LP investors. The team works very closely with the asset management deal teams who manage the investments, finance, risk and senior stakeholders in the Firm to assess valuation outputs, challenge assumptions, and ensure valuations are robust, well-supported and aligned with the relevant valuation framework.

This is a control and governance role, with exposure to interesting assets, and fluctuating market dynamics that require complex judgement calls and communication with a broad range of internal stakeholders. The team also deals with external auditors to provide rationale and comfort over the concluded valuations. Overall, the role offers the chance to meaningfully add value to the valuation review process at all levels of seniority, access to many individuals across different divisions at the firm globally, and a path for continued career progression whilst gaining access to the ever-evolving private market landscape.

What

you’ll do in the role
  • Valuation Review & Insight Delivery: Take ownership of valuation reviews across a real estate fund portfolio, identifying key drivers and delivering clear, well-supported insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Real Estate & Investment Analysis: Build a strong understanding of real estate assets and valuation methodologies (e.g. DCF, income capitalisation, market approaches) to ensure valuations are well-founded, consistent, and aligned with internal policies and accounting standards.
  • Market Monitoring & Impact Assessment: Stay informed on market developments and macroeconomic trends, assessing their impact on valuation inputs, portfolios, and investment performance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Professional Challenge: Work closely with Asset Management, Finance, and Risk stakeholders to review assumptions, resolve complex issues, and support consistent application of valuation approaches.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis & Decision Support: Contribute high-quality analysis on valuation topics, portfolio performance, and broader private investment initiatives, supporting informed business decisions.
  • Governance & Continuous Improvement: Support the ongoing enhancement of valuation methodologies, governance frameworks, and control processes, contributing to transparency and best practices across investment management.
What you’ll bring to the role
  • Valuation & Investment Interest: Experience or strong interest in valuation methodologies within real estate, private equity, or broader private markets
  • Analytical Capability: Strong financial analysis skills with attention to detail and the ability to form balanced, well-reasoned conclusions
  • Commercial Awareness: Ability to interpret market developments and apply sound judgement in a dynamic investment environment
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Ability to present analysis clearly and engage constructively with stakeholders, including senior management
  • Organizational Strength: Structured approach with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines
  • Technical Proficiency: Confident use of Excel and PowerPoint to produce clear, professional outputs
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with in investment management, real estate fund management, or private markets
  • Real Estate Knowledge: Understanding of key valuation drivers such as NOI, cap rates, yield analysis, and development appraisals
  • Professional certification (e.g.
    CFA, ACCA
    ) or progress towards such qualification
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and fair value frameworks
