Position: Financial Solutions Advisor - New Canaan Financial Center
Location: New Canaan

Overview

The role provides comprehensive financial advice and customized solutions to clients so they can achieve their financial goals. Responsibilities include triaging client leads, making referrals to business partners, meeting with clients to review financial and investment goals, building financial plans, recommending brokerage products, and managing residential mortgage loan originations subject to SAFE Act registration requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Works with clients to plan short‑ and long‑term financial goals by building a financial plan that includes brokerage products (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, banking, and money‑managed solutions).
  • Recommends banking and investment strategies that align with client financial goals and needs.
  • Triages client requests and makes referrals to appropriate internal service providers based on client needs and asset thresholds.
  • Mediates and controls risk as part of daily activities.
  • Identifies and engages potential new clients through referrals or financial center clientele.
  • Provides coaching and feedback to referral partners based on knowledge of client needs and potential product services recommended.
Qualifications Required
  • Currently holds Series7 and 66 (or Series
    63/65 in lieu of 66) licenses; if Series
    66 is not held, must pass the missing series within 60 days.
  • Minimum one year of experience in the investments industry, including investment training and in‑depth knowledge of investment products and services.
  • Minimum one year of experience working in the financial services industry and/or a sales environment where goals were met or exceeded.
  • Demonstrates ability to set and accomplish goals, build and nurture strong relationships, collaborate effectively, communicate confidently, prioritize tasks, and operate in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Applies relevant regulatory due diligence in daily activities and long‑term strategies, including SAFE Act registration for residential mortgage loan originations.
  • Committed to continuous learning and adapting to new information to provide the best solutions for clients.
Desired
  • Strong computer skills with ability to multitask in a demanding environment.
  • Minimum three years of experience in the financial services industry and/or a sales environment where goals were met or exceeded.
  • Additional professional designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and/or Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC).
  • Obtained insurance licenses.

Education

Minimum Education Requirement:
High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.

Schedule

Monday – Friday with rotating Saturdays. 1st shift. Hours per week: 40.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 annualized, commensurate with experience, education, and skill set. Eligible for a formulaic incentive plan with opportunities on monthly, quarterly, and annual bases, based on performance metrics.
