Companion Caregiver for Senior Alzheimer's

Job Overview

We are looking for a caregiver for a 72‑year‑old senior with mid‑stage Alzheimer’s disease. The position is a weekly shift on Thursdays, with flexibility around the time. The shift lasts 4 hours, typically 12:00–16:00, but may start earlier or later. The caregiver will assist with personal hygiene, provide companionship, and handle light housekeeping. They may also accompany the client to medical appointments and drive them to appointments, requiring valid auto insurance proof.

• Assist with shower or washing up using a washcloth, as the client may be nervous or resistant.
• Provide companionship care – such as walking outdoors if the weather allows or performing a senior chair exercise video workout.
• Help with light housekeeping tasks.
• Accompany the client to medical appointments scheduled during the regular shift and transport them in the caregiver’s car, providing proof of insurance.

• Experience caring for seniors with Alzheimer’s disease or other cognitive impairments.
• Comfortable with providing personal hygiene assistance.
• Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license and car insurance that covers transporting clients.
• Reliability and punctuality for a fixed weekly shift.
