Position SummaryUnder the direction of a Workflow Coordinator, Manager/Supervisor, and/or Team Leader, the incumbent performs or assists in radiographic procedures at a level that does not require direct supervision over technical detail. The role includes independent judgment, knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and technical proficiency with equipment. Responsibilities may extend to a designated area or procedure as required.
Competencies- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Bilingual Spanish skills desirable (not required).
- Advanced math skills in physics for understanding and setting radiologic exposure.
Education/Certification
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) National Board and obtain a State of Connecticut license to practice radiographic technical procedures within 3 months of graduation.
- Obtain mandatory continued educational units (CEUs) on an ongoing basis to maintain state licensure currency.
- Have Basic Cardiac Life Support certification upon hire and maintain clinical competency during employment with Hartford Health Care.
Experience
- Fully knowledgeable and capable of performing independently in at least two modalities.
- Complete working knowledge of physics principles, anatomy, medical terminology, sterile technique, and radiation protection as related to radiology practice.
- Meet HHC age‑specific knowledge/skill requirements and complete HHC mandatory education program annually.
