Medical Practice Patient Representative – Internal Medicine – Sharon, CT (Monday through Friday, variable shift 7:00 am–5:00 pm)

Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for medical practice.

• Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
• Ensures accuracy of patient information, including demographics and insurance.
• Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages, and assures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system.
• Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
• Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols.
• Monitors applications and manages worklists as applicable.
• Collects co‑pays and reconciles money for deposit.
• Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
• Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Maintains and models the organization values.
• Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Required:

High School graduate or equivalent. Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred, data entry, excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Minimum experience:

six months.

Ability to travel between practices as needed.

Salary Range: $18.13 – $34.50 hourly
