13-week Physical Therapist Assistant assignment in a skilled nursing facility setting. The schedule consists of day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The PTA will assist in providing rehabilitation services to help residents improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Requirements:

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license for the applicable state
• Minimum 2 years of PTA experience preferred
• Previous skilled nursing facility experience preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer techniques, and mobility assistance
• Ability to accurately document patient progress and follow treatment plans
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills

Unit Details Procedures Carry out physical therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, transfer training, strengthening, range-of-motion activities, and functional mobility exercises. Monitor patient response to treatment, document progress, educate residents on safe mobility techniques, report changes in condition to the Physical Therapist, and collaborate with the rehabilitation and interdisciplinary care teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
