Surgical Technologist

Certified Surgical Technologist responsible for assisting in surgical procedures as a scrub nurse, ensuring patient safety and maintaining a sterile environment.

• Prepare the surgical suite and equipment, ensuring proper sterile techniques and environment safety.
• Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts accurately according to policies.
• Maintain confidentiality, effective communication, and adherence to current healthcare practices.
• Ensure proper functioning and safety of equipment, participate in quality assurance activities.
• Assist surgical team with implementation of patient care activities, supporting a safe and efficient surgical process.
• Demonstrate professionalism aligned with organizational values of Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Compassion, and Honor.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred minimum of one year OR and surgical technician experience.
• Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills (e.g., MS Outlook).
• Surgical Technician Certification from an accredited institution.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
