Physical Therapy Assistant - Part Time

Role Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being, following a plan of care established by a supervising Physical Therapist.

• Perform therapy procedures within legal and training boundaries, and recommend plan adjustments to the supervising PT.
• Instruct patients in exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Monitor, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques within scope.
• Adapt to diverse home environments, regardless of patient background.

• Current license, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy assistance in the state.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Availability for weekend rotations.
• Preferred: CPR certification and ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and mobility assistance.
