REST Program Director - Sign-On Bonus of $8,000 for Fully Licensed Professional

The REST Program Director provides overall clinical and operational leadership for the Rapid Evaluation, Stabilization, and Treatment (REST), a short-term, voluntary alternative to inpatient hospitalization for individuals experiencing acute behavioral health crises. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care; maintaining regulatory and contractual compliance; and providing direct supervision and clinical oversight of a multidisciplinary team including clinicians, peer support specialists, and nursing staff.

This position is based on-site at the REST Crisis Stabilization Unit, a 24/7 operating program. The REST Program Director generally works standard business hours but must be available for on-call consultation and able to respond to urgent program needs outside of regular hours.

Full-Time / Exempt

Salary Range begins at $110,000

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must possess an active, unrestricted clinical license in the State of Connecticut, such as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or licensed psychologist. At least two years of direct clinical experience in a crisis stabilization unit, psychiatric emergency setting, inpatient psychiatric program, or other acute crisis behavioral health setting is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of supervisory experience leading a multidisciplinary team, including clinicians, nursing staff, and/or peer support professionals.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of crisis intervention models and risk assessment, along with a working knowledge of applicable state licensing regulations, Medicaid billing requirements, and Joint Commission accreditation standards. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, including experience preparing clinical and operational reports for funders or regulatory bodies. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to effectively respond to and manage high-acuity, time-sensitive situations using sound clinical judgment.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk, using the phone, and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

Valid Driver’s license is required.
