Join our team and experience endless career possibilities if you are an existing team member, please click the following link to be taken to the internal career site: mohegan internal career site position summary:this position is responsible for the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel tower public areas, back landings, and back landing storage rooms.primary duties and responsibilities: includes but not limited to:restocks storage room supply levelsassists the guest room attendants with linen and trash removalresponsible for hall and edge vacuuming on assigned floors every dayinventories and restocks par levels in the back landing storage roomsmaintains carpets and floors in public areas, guest rooms and hotel suitesperforms high and low dusting in public areas to include ceiling vents, wall vents, windowsills, and all overhead areasresponsible for stripping, waxing, and mopping service landings and back storage roomssweeps, mops, and maintains stairwellsresponsible for upholstery cleaning and marble top finishingmaintains assigned cleaning equipment and cleaning toolsreports unusual conditions and repairs to a housekeeping supervisorsecondary duties and responsibilities:responsible for the separation and removal of recyclablesassists with delivering items to guestsmoves room furniture for meetings, as neededmakes rollaway beds and cribs, as needed assist gra’s stripping and removing linen and trash from rooms during high volume timesother duties as assigned minimum education and qualifications:previous housekeeping experience must be able to communicate effectively in englishcompetencies: incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:knowledge of cleaning chemicals, floor care procedures, equipment and toolsrecycling of materials to current standards and procedure straining requirements:chemical use and safety regulatory procedures knowledge of regulatory safety practices on msds, osha regulations, hazardous communication and blood borne pathogensability to use a handheld radio and pagerphysical demands and work environment:must be able to stand for long periods of time with frequent reaching, lifting, and bending must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.must
