Position Summary:
The Catering Event Lead is responsible for helping plan, coordinate, and execute successful events. As the go-to person for events, this position balances managing many details while confidently working through issues and concerns as they arise. The Catering Event Lead works closely with the event team and clients to ensure our clients, and their guests, have an exceptional and memorable experience.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during events
- Coordinate event timelines, setup, service, and breakdown
- Work closely with clients to understand event needs and expectations
- Communicate event details and timelines with catering and service staff
- Coordinator with vendors, venues, DJs, florists, and other event professionals as needed during the day of the event
- Oversee food and beverage service throughout the event
- Ensure tables, decor, food stations, bars, and other event areas are properly set up
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during events
- Monitor event timing and keep the event running according to schedule
- Maintain a professional and welcoming presences throughout the event
- Assist with setup and breakdown when needed
- Ensure company standards for service, presentation, cleanliness, and professionalism are maintained
- Complete post-event responsibilities and communicate any important feedback to management
- Complete required training as assigned by mountain leadership
- Accurately record all hours worked, ensure time entries are complete, and promptly resolve any discrepancies prior to the end of each pay period
- Other duties as assigned by mountain leadership
- Must be 18+ years old
- Previous experience in event coordination, catering, hospitality, restaurant management, or related field preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently
- Reliable transportation and regular attendance
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Successful completion of background check
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in busy, sometimes noisy environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Compensation: $20-$22/hour (opportunity for tips and additional event-based compensation)
