Location: North Haven, CT Job Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $58,000 - $68,000 annually

Position SummaryThe Human Resources Associate provides day-to-day support for a variety of HR functions, including onboarding, recruiting, benefits administration, employee records management, compliance, employee support, and HR projects. This role serves as a key resource for employees and leaders while partnering closely with the HR team to deliver exceptional service across the organization.
What You’ll Do- Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Assist with job postings, candidate screening, and recruiting activities.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
- Ensure all pre-employment and onboarding documentation is completed accurately.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures.
- Build positive working relationships with employees across the organization.
- Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
- Assist with employee communications and HR-related programs.
- Support benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records.
- Process employee status changes including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Assist with leave administration and employee documentation.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.
- Assist with I-9 administration and employment documentation.
- Support HR reporting, audits, and recordkeeping activities.
- Help maintain accurate employee data and workforce metrics.
- Participate in HR process improvement initiatives.
- Support training and development activities.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of Human Resources, Recruiting, Payroll, or Administrative experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Experience working with an HRIS system.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience in construction, landscaping, manufacturing, or other field-based environments.
