SummaryThe technology specialist will be responsible for providing tier 1 support to end users in the school district. A successful candidate will assist with troubleshooting computers and peripherals such as printers, interactive displays, and audio visual equipment. This position reports to the Director of Technology. This individual will be working with teachers and students utilizing the district technology to support learning in the classrooms on a daily basis.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s or associate degree in related field (technology) or equivalent work experience in technology support industry to successfully fulfill job responsibilities as described below.
- Experience working in a school system preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with enterprise network and wireless systems
- Knowledge of directory services and account management systems
- Ability to troubleshoot printers, computers, and system software
- Assists with troubleshooting all hardware, software based problems, including network issues.
- Performs installs, maintenance, troubleshooting and support of all computer hardware and software
- Installs, maintains and supports peripheral equipment, including but not limited to printers, scanners, webcams, interactive displays, and LCD projectors.
- Installs, maintains, and supports Chrome
OS, Windows, and Macintosh desktop operating software. - Assists with management of network hardware and operating system software.
- Maintains equipment inventory.
- Assists staff with management of consumable supplies for technology equipment.
- Maintains professionalism in high-stress situations.
- Training and capacity building for staff to independently solve general technology issues.
