Litigation Associate​/Counsel

Fully Remote - CT Barred - Established Litigation Platform

Salary: $135,000 - $200,000 per year

Our attorneys handle cases from inception through resolution across a variety of practice areas, with a focus on practical strategy and efficient case management. We emphasize strong courtroom advocacy, clear client communication, and thoughtful risk assessment. Our team structure allows attorneys to take ownership of their matters while collaborating with experienced colleagues when needed.

Attorneys in our firm gain hands-on litigation experience early and often. You will manage files, take depositions, argue motions, attend court appearances, and work directly with clients. We provide mentorship without micromanagement and encourage professional development through substantive responsibility. We are seeking a civil litigation defense attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join our fully remote litigation team. This role is ideal for an attorney who is comfortable managing cases independently while remaining connected to a collaborative and experienced group of litigators. Our practice focuses on general civil litigation defense matters, offering consistent case flow and meaningful opportunities for hands-on litigation work.

We strongly value candidates with trial experience or those who have taken cases through advanced stages of litigation.

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation defense matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
• Take and defend depositions
• Appear for hearings, conferences, mediations, and other proceedings (remote and in-person as required)
• Prepare matters for trial and assist with or lead trial efforts where applicable
• Communicate directly with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and the courts
• Develop case strategy and evaluate liability, damages, and risk exposure
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff across a remote environment

• 3+ years of civil litigation defense experience
• Background in insurance defense, general liability, or comparable litigation work
• Strong experience with deposition practice, discovery, and motion work
• Trial experience or meaningful exposure to trial preparation strongly preferred
• Ability to independently manage a full caseload in a remote setting
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills

• Active Connecticut Bar admission or ability to waive in
• Additional bar admissions are a significant plus
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters simultaneously
• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment with accountability and responsiveness
