Senior Procurement Project Specialist
Location:
Northford, CT – On‑site. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager.
In this role, you will impact the successful execution and delivery of procurement projects by leveraging your expertise in project management, cost savings, and process improvements across our procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee procurement projects from initiation to completion, including supplier selection, negotiations, contract management, and delivery, ensuring projects are executed within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Risk Mitigation:
Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks specific to NPI, including single‑source risks, capacity constraints, and long lead‑time material dependencies. - Lead Sourcing
Activities:
Own the end‑to‑end sourcing process for all new components, materials, and services required for NPI projects. - Cost Management:
Create and manage cost models, targeting cost reductions throughout the product lifecycle, especially during NPI. - Negotiation:
Handle RFQs and competitive bids. Negotiate pricing, lead times, inventory, and SLAs. - Contracting:
Draft, review, and manage supply agreements, NDAs, and SOWs with Legal. - Supplier Readiness:
Oversee part qualification (PPAP/FAIs) and confirm suppliers meet volume and quality standards. - Contribute to the development and execution of the organization’s procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with cost‑effectiveness, quality, and supplier diversity goals.

Annual base salary range: $92,800 – $116,000.
Required Experience- 6+ years of experience in procurement and project management.
- Knowledge of procurement strategies, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with procurement software and tools.
- Experience in managing complex procurement projects and leading teams.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in procurement and project management.
- Ability to drive results and meet project objectives.
